Werner Amigo

Werner Amigo 1-Piece Kids’ Kayak Paddle

The Werner Amigo is a junior river-running kayak paddle designed to provide children with a better-fitting and less tiring alternative to a full-sized adult paddle.

Its smaller 605 cm² blades reduce resistance through the water, helping young paddlers use less effort during each stroke. Combined with a small-diameter straight shaft that is easier for smaller hands to hold, the Amigo helps children paddle with greater comfort and efficiency.

Designed for Junior Paddlers

A correctly proportioned paddle can make kayaking more comfortable and manageable for children. The Amigo combines smaller blades with Werner’s small-diameter shaft, giving younger paddlers a more suitable grip and reducing the effort required to control the paddle.

This junior-focused design can help children feel less tired on the water while still providing the blade shape and performance needed for river paddling.

Smaller River-Running Blades

Werner classifies the Amigo as a river-running paddle. Its compact, asymmetric blades have a surface area of 605 cm², providing a lower-resistance stroke than Werner’s larger adult whitewater blades.

The reduced blade size is less demanding for young paddlers while retaining a performance-oriented shape designed for efficient forward paddling.

Smooth and Stable Blade Design

The Amigo’s blades feature Werner’s dihedral design. The central ridge helps direct water evenly across both sides of the blade, supporting a smooth and stable stroke while reducing blade flutter.

The asymmetric blade profile also helps create an efficient and balanced feel as the blade moves through the water.

Durable Reinforced Nylon Blades

The blades are injection moulded from nylon reinforced with fibreglass. This durable construction provides strong impact resistance while keeping the Amigo within Werner’s more accessible Standard Performance range.

The one-piece whitewater fibreglass shaft provides a simple and dependable construction without a central ferrule or joint.
