The Surf Jet 2.0 uses a semi-planing hull to balance reassuring stability with the responsiveness needed for playing in the surf.

A raised bow helps the kayak ride over choppy water, while the tri-keel stern supports directional control when paddling across the water or catching a wave.

Its compact 267cm length also makes it easier to transport, store and handle than many larger recreational sit-on-top kayaks.

Practical Sit-on-Top Design

Four large cockpit drainage vents allow water to drain from the seating area, while the angled rear storage section is shaped to drain quickly and make remounting from the stern easier.

Moulded foot and heel rests accommodate different paddler sizes without requiring adjustable mechanisms. The moulded side and end handles provide durable carrying points, and a drain bung allows internal pressure to be released when required.

A recessed area in front of the paddler can be used for a drinks bottle or fitted with an optional storage pod.

Family-Friendly Features

A moulded child seat is positioned at the bow facing the main paddler, making the Surf Jet 2.0 suitable for shared family fun within the kayak’s stated paddler weight limit.

The sit-on-top layout also provides an open, uncomplicated paddling position without an enclosed cockpit.

It uses Pyranha’s MZ3 construction, made from the company’s whitewater-grade Super Linear HDPE. Pyranha also states that the construction contains up to 25% recycled plastic.

The top and underside have a matt-textured finish for additional slip resistance, while the moulded construction is designed for regular recreational use.
