Important Buoyancy-Aid Guidance
The Racer Pro Yoof is an ISO 12402-5 Level 50 buoyancy aid. Peak PS states that equipment in this category is intended for competent swimmers who are close to a bank or shore, or who have help and a means of rescue nearby.
Level 50 buoyancy aids require active participation from the wearer. They have limited use in disturbed water and do not provide sufficient buoyancy for people who are unable to help themselves.
Flotation devices reduce the risk of drowning but do not guarantee rescue. The PFD should always be correctly fitted, secured and used with appropriate supervision, training and safety precautions.
