Rather than adapting an adult jacket to fit a smaller paddler, Palm has given the Rocket a children’s-specific design. Its premium 3D cut is shaped to support natural paddling movement, while the breathable XP 2-layer fabric provides a practical balance of weather protection and comfort during active days on the water.
Purpose-built protection for young paddlers
The Rocket combines a neoprene neck gasket with children’s-specific, cone-shaped latex wrist gaskets. The shaped wrist seals are designed to suit younger paddlers, while hook-and-loop adjustable outer cuffs allow the fit around each wrist to be refined.
Around the waist, an adjustable neoprene waistband and twin-waist construction help create a closer interface between the jacket and a kayak spraydeck. This makes the Rocket particularly well suited to closed-cockpit kayaking, training sessions and young paddlers progressing into whitewater.
