NRS Clutch Pogies
Cold hands can quickly make winter paddling uncomfortable. The NRS Clutch Pogies provide substantial insulation around your hands while allowing you to grip the paddle shaft directly, helping preserve the natural control and feel that can be lost when wearing thick gloves.
Designed by NRS for paddling in frigid conditions, the Clutch Pogies use 3 mm raw neoprene with a titanium laminate adhesive. The raw neoprene construction sheds water to reduce evaporative cooling and maximise insulation, helping your hands retain warmth in cold and wet paddling environments.
Warmth Without Sacrificing Paddle Control
Unlike conventional paddling gloves, pogies attach around the paddle shaft and create an insulated enclosure for your hands. Your palms remain in direct contact with the shaft, providing a secure, familiar grip and responsive paddle control.
This makes the Clutch Pogies particularly well suited to cold-weather kayaking and canoeing where warmth is essential, but dexterity and precise blade control still matter.
Comfortable Graphene Lining
The interior features a graphene lining that feels soft against the skin, dries quickly and remains lighter when wet. This helps make the pogies comfortable during longer paddling sessions and more practical when used repeatedly throughout colder months.
A fitted internal “doughnut” cuff sits closely around the wrist to help limit water entry and retain heat inside each pogie.
Secure Paddle-Shaft Attachment
A wide shaft opening makes the Clutch Pogies suitable for use with a variety of paddles, including paddles with thicker bent shafts. The hook-and-loop closure wraps securely around the shaft and helps prevent water from entering through the attachment point.
The design allows the pogies to remain attached to the paddle, ready for you to slide your hands into when conditions turn cold.
Easy to Put On and Keep Together
A nylon bite tab assists with pulling the cuffs into position, making the pogies easier to put on when your other hand is already covered. Pairing snaps at the wrists keep both pogies together when they are being stored or transported.
A nylon coating around the wrist adds durability in an area exposed to frequent handling.
