Grey Owl Tenderfoot Youth Canoe Paddle
The Grey Owl Tenderfoot is a lightweight introductory canoe paddle designed for younger paddlers aged eight and over.
Scaled specifically for children and young paddlers, it provides a more appropriate alternative to starting with a full-sized adult canoe paddle. It is designed to help novice paddlers develop confidence, coordination and control while learning their basic canoeing skills on calm water.
Available in 52″, 56″ and 60″ lengths, the Tenderfoot is the natural next step up from the smaller Grey Owl Owlet Canoe Paddle.
Designed for Developing Canoeists
The Tenderfoot has a three-ply laminated basswood pear-shaped grip and a solid basswood oval shaft. Its blade is made from three-ply laminated basswood and has a convex cross-section.
Each available length has a correspondingly larger blade. The 52″ paddle has an 80-square-inch blade, the 56″ has a 90-square-inch blade and the 60″ has a 100-square-inch blade.
A straight casting-epoxy tip reinforces the end of the blade, while a high-gloss exterior polyurethane finish with UV protection completes the paddle.
